Board of Directors

President / Board Member: Diane Gushee lives in Fryeburg with her family and son Raymond. “I am very involved with 4-H and youth. I am the State 4-h Beef Coordinator, Coordinator of the Fryeburg Youth Show, member of the 4-h Beef Committee at E.S.E., helping Windsor Fair with the market steer and lamb sale, and Fryeburg Fair scramble calves. I work at Shawnee Peak Ski Resort as the Cafeteria Manager in the winter months. In the spring, summer, and fall I enjoy showing the livestock with Gushee Livestock at local and national shows.”


Vice President / Board Member: Stan Moreau has been married to Daphne for 33 years and together they have raised two daughter.  Now they are enjoying two granddaughters.  Stan has been raising Border Cheviots and is the treasurer for the Cumberland County Leaders Association.  


Secretary / Board Member: Karen Stout lives in Cornville with her husband Jamie.  They have three children Cody, Devon, and Dale.  They own and run Strout’s Dairy Farm, where they raise Holsteins, and Jerseys.  Their son Devon has a few Ayrshires of his own.  They also raise a few beef cattle. They show their animals at a few fairs every year.  The boys also do 4-H market steers and lambs.  Karen loves her Border Collies she raises.  Karen also works full time off the farm.


Treasurer / Board Member: Carol Davis and her family live in New Sharon. They raise and show Brown Swiss and Holstein dairy cattle. Carol is the Assistant Livestock Superintendent at Windsor Fair.


Membership / Board Member: Kathleen Pride lives in Limington with her husband Troy Pride and two of their three children – Ben, Adam and Lauren.  The family shows sheep and beef cattle. Kathleen works at an elementary school in the special education department with students who have behavioral needs. 207-838-5727


Board Member: Cindy Kilgore lives in Jay, with Norris Smith. Together they train and exhibit show steers and oxen. Cindy is the livestock specialist for the Department of Agriculture and serves as the liaison for the association with the department. 207-592-7445


Board Member: Garrett Lambert He is from Norridgewock Maine where he runs a family dairy farm. The milk Holsteins and Guernsey cattle. Garrett shows his cattle at many state fairs. He is also the Assistant Livestock Superintendent at Skowhegan fair.


Board Member: Blaine Moon was born and raised in Freeport, ME where he raised a small herd of Holsteins and Jerseys with his family. Blaine and his family continue to raise and show diary as part of Sunny Morn Farm. Blaine, his father, Ted, and his two daughters, Allison and Brittany, exhibit dairy cattle at many Maine fairs as well as Eastern States Exposition. Blaine is currently the leader of the All-Star 4-H Dairy club and has been involved in 4-H his entire life. Blaine is currently employed at Pineland Farms as a farm hand.


Board Member: Kelsey Sanborn lives in West Baldwin. She and her family  have owned and raised shorthorn working cattle all their lives and before. Kelsey was in the Brass Knobs 4-H working steer club growing up and now she is the leader of the club as of this year. She loves working with the kids. She has a three year old daughter, Claire. They spend our free time driving around New England matching shorthorn calves for pairs. Kelsey works fulltime at Pineland Farms. She loves judging open classes and did a lot of 4-H judging before this year. She loves going to the fairs. It’s a special community and she hopes to pass the love on to her daughter.


Board Member: Ronald Simpson was raised and still resides in Corinna ME.  He owns and operates Simpson View Farms with his wife Beth and three children- Sarah, Samantha and RJ.  They milk approximately 750 Holsteins and sell their milk to Oakhurst Dairy in South Portland. Herd Manager, Andrew Ricker oversees 9 employees along with herd health, feeding and breeding. 4-H was a big part of the kids summers and continue to support 4-H.  Samantha will continue to show at some fairs to promote agriculture.  Ronnie loves to spend time on Lake Wassekeg riding in his party boat.
